Natasha Brownrigg, BScN, MN, NP-Pediatrics

Assistant Clinical Professor, McMaster School of Nursing

Natasha is a practicing Paediatric Nurse Practitioner at McMaster Children’s Hospital (Hamilton) in Paediatric Urology with a cross appointment to the School of Nursing (McMaster University) as Assistant Clinical Professor. Natasha runs two NP led clinics in addition to working in all aspects of clinical care within an Interprofessional team as part of her specialty service. Previously, Natasha was a Registered Nurse in Cardiology Critical Care and Nurse Practitioner in Heart Failure at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto. Research interests include bladder bowel dysfunction, urotherapy, patient teaching modalities, quality of life, chronic illness and transition from pediatric to adult care. Natasha has presented her research at national and international conferences as well as published in peer reviewed journals. Her teaching experience ranges from clinical teaching for undergraduate nursing and NP students, lecturer and course planner for pathophysiology courses as well as providing nursing research practicums to undergraduate students. She has been actively involved in hospital wide initiatives including Project Manager for Interprofessional Practice at SickKids and currently a member of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) leadership team for Paediatric Surgery.

Throughout her career, Natasha has remained equally passionate about her clinical work and academics. Her goal remains to teach, research and provide exemplary clinical care to improve the lives of her patients.
