Dr. Jean Buithieu, MD, FRCPC (Cardiology)
Dr. Jean Buithieu obtained his M.D. degree from the University of Montreal, Canada. He completed his residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and completed his fellowship in Vascular Medicine and in Echocardiography in Mayo Echocardiography and Non-invasive Hemodynamic Laboratory while gaining research expertise in vascular imaging, intravascular ultrasonography, 3-D echocardiography as well as ultrafast cine-CT (EBCT). Dr. Buithieu is Director of Echocardiography and Non-Invasive Cardiology, a member of the McGill University Cardiology Training Program Committee, Head of the Echocardiography Fellowship Program, and chairman of the Cardiology Telehealth Committee. Since 2005, he is the co-editor of the award-winning textbook Perioperative Transesophageal Multimedia Manual, now in its third edition.
